Swecopa
Swecopa, den svenska plattformen för 3R-alternativ till djurförsök, är ett samarbetsorgan med representation från fyra parter med intresse i djurförsöksfrågor och alternativ till djurförsök: djurskyddsorganisationer, myndigheter, industri, samt universitet och högskolor. Swecopas uppgift är att sprida information om och fungera som ett diskussionsforum i frågor som rör 3R-alternativ till djurförsök, dvs att ersätta djurförsök med andra metoder, minska antalet använda djur samt att förfina existerande metoder för att undvika eller minimera lidandet för djur i försök.
Swecopa är svensk representant i det europeiska samarbetsorganet ecopa (European Consensus Platform for Alternatives).
Swecopa
Swecopa is the Swedish Platform for the 3Rs alternatives to animal experiments. It consists of representatives from four parties with an interest in animal experimentation and alternatives: animal protection organizations, government, industry and academia.
Swecopa’s main role is to provide information on the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) to its members and others, to serve as the Swedish representative on ecopa (the European Consensus Platform for Alternatives) and to provide a forum for strategy discussions on the 3Rs.
Swecopa does not have any employees, nor does it fund 3Rs research.
